DeDe's Story...
Oh, hi, I’m DeDe. Juno, my best bud from kittendom, tends to take center stage wherever we go and that works for us. I like to find you in those quiet moments and sidle up to you for nice rub or snuggle. Of course, then there are those less than quiet moments when Juno and I are running about, hiding our toys from one another, and then collapsing into a wonderful curl up where Juno give me the best lickins. If you open your home to Juno and me, we can all open our hearts to each other. Cindy can fill you in on DeDe and Juno’s latest antics if you contact her at 773.203.0215 or cindy@chicagocatrescue.org.

These sweet gals were surrendered by their owner who had a dramatic life change. They are ready for their new forever home. DeDe’s foster mom loves her sweet, undemanding nature. Not a lap cat, DeDe still loves to be close to her human companion and always appreciates a nice petting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DeDe, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
