My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet HANK. Hank is a black and tan/silver dapple; neutered male 3-1.2 year old miniature dachshund. He has been a happy and well-loved member of his family until some recent misunderstanding caused by the addition of a baby boy to the primary group. A little hard for Hank to understand that he is not the primary "baby" of the family any longer. He doesn't understand this change, and so a new home is the quickest and safest route back to a happy dog. As you can see, he is a handsome fellow, and loving, smart and well trained. Hank loves to run like a crazy dog after you give him his bath -- and don't tell him so, but we think it is hilarious. He is good in the car, and also leash trained. Hank has endearing habits: When you want him to go in his crate just say "Hank, it's time to Nigh NIght" and he will run right over to his crate and flip over right before he goes in. At this point, don't make eye contact (or you might laugh), and just keep saying "nigh night" and in he will go in. What a character! Come meet Hank.=====The adoption fee is $295, no exceptions. The fees include spay/neuter, rabies, dhpp, bordetella, pyrantel, advantage treatment, grooming including nails, as well as complete exam at our doxie vet. Each dog comes with all new doxie halter, new toys and blankets. All in all, an investment greater than the adoption fee. Please go to www.odr-inc.org. We have very strict adoption guidelines because we require an escape proof fenced yard and someone who is home most of the day. Kids over 10 are ok, but no cats less they've been raised with them, or other small prey animals (these are hunters). If our requirements sound like a good fit, please complete the questionnaire and email it to jrangan@teleport.com. ====== Please wait to call until we have your information. We're busy trying to find the best homes for all the wonderful dachshunds we have. The best way to get an answer is by email. We make every effort to respond within 24 hours.
