Cherie's Story...
lors, mon amis! My name is Cherie. Fostermom call me "Mon belle Cherie petit", which means "My beautiful little darling" in French. Ok, ok. I know I'm not French (I'm actually a JRT/Dachshund mix), but I am a very sweet senior lady who is looking for a new home. My people put me in this awful place called a "shelter", and it was horrible! All the barking, the smell, I am so glad to be out of there! I think they put me in there because they were tired of taking care of me; I'm a senior & tiny, so sometimes I have trouble holding my pee. (Fostermom says vinegar is a wonderful thing. I wonder what that means...?) I'm glad fostermom has a ramp, becasue I don't do stairs too well. I don't see so well, either, so I like my human(s) to go outside with me. At night, fostermom carries me out to the middle of the yard so I have to go potty out there, otherwise I'm somewhat afraid of going out in the dark. She carries a bright flashlight so I can see better, bless her heart. All I really want is someone who understands that getting old has its problems, and will love me in spite of it. I know it takes a bit of work to take care of me, but I promise I will repay you with all the love I have to give! So if you have enough love in your heart to share with an old lady,
If you are serious about adopting a pooch please email us and we will be happy to send you adoption information and an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cherie, a Allentown Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
