Coco - NY's Story...
ADOPTION PENDING!!! Hello, my name is Coco and I guess you’re reading this to find out if I might be the perfect new family member for you. The humans who live with me and the new ones I meet all seem to use the same word to describe me -- sweet. I’m not sure exactly what that means; maybe it has something to do with the color of my fur, chocolate. I like to give attention and love to my humans, and I usually show this by putting my paw on them or snuggling on the couch with them, or giving them kisses. I hear that humans love chocolate kisses! I also enjoy playing with my toys and taking walks to meet other dogs and people. I used to live with three other dachshunds, an outside cat and two children and we all got along very well. I’m getting along well with the dogs in my foster home, too. I do my business outside and I sleep at night in a comfy bed in my crate. My foster home has been kind enough to get my shots up-to-date, and I am scheduled to be spayed very soon. I have so much love to share. A family who can take care of me and love me for the rest of my life would be the sweetest thing of all. My adoption fee is $250 and I'm in a foster home on Staten Island, NY. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coco - NY, a Jacobus Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Jacobus, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Jacobus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacobus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacobus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacobus paves the way for another one to be saved.
