Meow! My name is Rosa
|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair||Color:||Black (All)||Age:||Adult|
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Rosa is a good girl that has had a rough life so far. Her approximate date of birth was in June 2009. She was found abandoned in an apartment with two of her nearly full grown kittens. We don't know for sure how long they had been left there but according to a neighbor that had been feeding them, it had been several months. Her boys were semi-feral and very afraid of people due to lack of socialization. We were able to find them a nice barn home but we want a different life for Rosa. She had been socialized, knowing love and kindness at some point in her life and is a very sweet girl. She deserves to have that loving home again, but this time, as a "forever" home. She is a quiet girl who enjoys being petted and likes to play with the occasional toy. After an adjustment period, she does okay with other cats and would adjust to a cat friendly dog. We feel she would be better with older children. Can you give this girl the home she deserves?

Rescue Group Info...
Action for Animals, Inc. is an all volunteer, non profit organization that was incorporated in 1980. We assist the stray cats and dogs of Delaware County, Indiana. We provide medical treatment, spaying and neutering, foster care and ultimately, placement in forever homes for these strays. We also micro chip all of our adoptees prior to adoption. We want to help keep all of them safe! We have chosen the stray population to concentrate our efforts because they have no one to help them find a new home--they have been left to fend for themselves and we need to help them.
We are always in need of donations to support our programs. Any monetary donations are completely tax deductible and even just a few dollars helps us a lot! We receive no city, county, state or federal monies to support our programs. In addition to our adoption program, we maintain a feral cat alteration program and a spay/neuter assistance program for anyone who needs help having their own pet altered.
We always have cats and kittens showcased at the Muncie PetSmart. You can go there during any of the stores' regular hours to meet your potential new pet. If you don't see one there or on this site that interests you, please contact us. There are likely others in our program that we have not gotten posted yet. Please, no phone calls after 10pm.
We do have an application that needs to be filled out and processed. If you have other pets, your vet will be contacted to verify that your pets are kept up to date on vaccinations and are well taken care of. If you rent your home or apartment, your landlord will be contacted to verify that you are allowed to have indoor pets. We also ask for, and contact, two personal references. We ask for a minimum donation of $65.
