My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buzz is a happy, healthy, friendly little guy with plenty of personality! He is good with other dogs and with small children. He is a smart little guy who has been using a dog door since he was just 4 weeks old. Of course Buzz is still to young to be house-broken, but he is on the right track and I don't think it will take him long to learn. His mom was seized in an animal cruelty investigation and she gave birth to 6 puppies on August 24, 2011. Mom looks like a petite Belgian Shepherd, but we have no idea about the dad. Buzz's coloring indicates that he could have some cattle dog or Australian shepherd in him. Three of his siblings look just like black lab puppies, so that is a possibility too. Based on past history of what I know about the dog in the area, I estimate he will be 45-65 lbs when grown. The pups have been a delight to have around and to watch grow. Their mom has a very sweet, playful disposition and so do her pups. We are now accepting applications on the puppies. It is important that they are well socialized with other dogs, so they will not be ready to go to new homes as an only dog until 8 weeks old (~October 22, 2011). We can consider adopting them earlier to homes that already have another dog. Buzz's adoption fee is $200 and that includes de-worming, neuter, microchip and series of puppy vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Buzz, please contact Delon.Washo@asu.edu or 602-295-4518.

AZ Prussian Snailhound Dog Rescue would like to remind everyone that puppies are a big commitment and require a lot of attention. Puppies often exhibit undesirable behaviors such as chewing and digging. Of course they also are a lot of fun and are very lovable too. When choosing a puppy please consider how much time you will be able to spend training and socializing your new puppy.
