Sawyer's Story...
***This kitten is located in Henrico County, near Short Pump. DOB 7/27/11***My name is Sawyer, I am a white male kitten born on Smith Mountain Lake to feral parents. My foster mom rescued me and my seven siblings so we could be safe from all the wild animals that roamed the woods near the lake. My mom tried to care for us but it was just too many of us. I am very sweet and curious of my surroundings. i am looking for a warm loving home so I can play and sleep with someone each night. Please email my foster mom at richvagoodtchr2@aol.com and she will send you an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sawyer, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
