Peppers's Story...
Peppers is about a year old and was turned in because her family moved, and they were unable to have pets at their new home. The Humane Society was advised that Peppers was spayed already when she came to us. However, she was not and actually had a litter of puppies about 6 weeks ago. All four puppies are doing great and Peppers is a wonderful Mommy. The puppies will be ready to go to their new loving forever homes in about 2 weeks and so will Peppers. We believe she is a wired haired Dachsund mix so she won't get much bigger than she already is. Peppers is a sweet but energetic puppy, is good with kids, and has a lot of personality. She is not yet spayed but will be before going to her new home. Would you like to give Peppers a new loving forever home? Please email or call us for more information on Peppers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peppers, a Sidney Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Sidney, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Sidney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sidney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sidney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sidney paves the way for another one to be saved.
