Homer's Story...
This is Homer, he is a Yellow lab mix, around 1 years old. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. Homer is Heartworm negative and ready for his new home! He loves kids and gets along great with other dogs. He is untested with cats. Homer still has a lot of energy because he is a "teenager" and would do best in an active home with a fenced yard. Homer loves playing fetch as you can see and he loves attention! Homer would benefit from some obedience training and he would make a great family pet. He is your typical Yellow Lab mix with lots of love to share and lots of energy to play. Homer is around 50 pounds Please click on this link to find out more information about this dog.BR>http://www.poochesonthemove.net/warren-county-rescue.html.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Homer, a Staunton Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
