My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cosmos is Deceased

Cosmo is currently fostered in Columbus IN, and his adoption donation is $150

Cosmo is an 8 yr old black and tan male cocker spaniel.
He came into our rescue from a shelter in Georgia where he was facing euthanasia.
He is a good dog, he is very laid back, and is great with his fosters grandchildren.
He does get along with other dogs, however he needs to be introduced to them gradually.
Once he meets another dog, he is good with them, but he needs time in a crate for a few minutes before the introduction.

He is a happy boy and enjoys sitting next to his foster on the couch.
He is housetrained, however, he does not like to stay in a crate, and gets separation anxiety.
Cosmo would be a good fit for a retired person who is home all the time, and did not have to leave him for a long work day.
He likes to play with toys, but especially loves to pull the stuffing out of them, which most cockers are known for.
His foster says he follows her all over the house and is basically a velcro cocker.

Cosmo has come a long way since being in foster care, he used to be very standoffish, and would be a bit of a bully with other dogs in the beginning.
He has settled down very nicely and just needed a little time to adjust.
His foster says he has become such a great dog!!

Cosmo is somewhat hard of hearing and may have some vision loss due to his age, but it doesnt seem to hinder him at all.
Cocmo is neutered, up to date on vaccines and is heartworm negative.

If you would like to adopt Cosmo or would like more information on him, please fill out an adoption application.
