Rusty's Story...
Medical Conditions: Rusty, recovering from Mast Cell Tumor Removal

Rusty is 8, and a very handsome boy with lots of expressive wrinkles and an adorable hangy tongue. Rusty had two Mast Cell Tumors removed and the lab report came back with clean margins and good numbers, so we are hopeful that Rusty will not have a recurrance.

They were rather neglected in their previous home, so good food and great care should really put him on the right track. He is a loving, happy-g0-lucky guy and with his positive outlook – we think he will be around for quite sometime. We believe that keeping him with his longtime companion, Lily, will help him stay happy, positive and healthy.

Lily is his sweet sister, age 4 – don’t let a little gray fool you. She has lots of spunk, loves her walks and playing with her toys! She is a sweet natured, adorable little love pug and enjoys a belly scratch and a good snuggle.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty, a Pismo Beach Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Pismo Beach, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Pismo Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pismo Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pismo Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pismo Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
