Hello World!!! My name is Petey, but my foster Dad likes to call me Snufalafagus !
I’m a bear of a boy at approx 2 years of age and in great shape now that the folks of IEBR have fixed me up. I came in with a minor case of demodex mange, entropian and needed neutered. All has been taken care of and in just a few days I will be ready for my forever family!
My IEBR family cannot tell you much on my background as I came in from animal control. They were told that I was wandering the woods for 3 days before someone that had seen me out there called animal control.
They think they knew where I came from, a house that has cages lined outside their garage that keeps dogs like me to make babies so they can sell them.
My old life is behind me and I’m trying to understand and learn a whole new world where people love me and care what happens to me.
Since I was never taught any manners, I am a bit strongheaded but I want to please you so please just be consistent with me!
Um, I do have one little itsy bitsy bad behavior ( so I’m told) issue….I like to mark my territory. I just want others to know that I’m here! I belong! I’m hoping that my recent neuter will help me get over this little hump, along with some structure/guidance/and consistency from my new family.
I have a foster sister that I adore, she is about 1 year old and she loves loves loves me! And I love her right back. I don’t have any food or toy aggression, as a matter of fact my foster sisser and I sometimes share the same bowl just because we want to!
We love to be outside in this cooler weather and play with each other for as long as Foster Dad lets us.
I hope I have a canine playmate in my new family, as I really enjoy others company.
