Private Party Surrender 8/14/11 due to "allergies".

Up to date with routine shots.

Single, unbonded girl. May not play nice with other piggies.

Update 8/26/11: from Tater Tot's foster mommy Heather, "Tater Tot is so cute. I just don't think her owners handled her much and she was in a room by herself because they have dogs. Tater Tot is starting to calm down and is becoming more affectionate. From what the previous owners said, her buddy beat her up a lot, so maybe she just needs more socialization. I get her out with my pigs, but she does not get along with my coronet, Rapunzel, which is funny because she gets along with pretty much everyone. She does run around the house with my other two though."

Tater Tot's original mommy said that Tater Tot is not a very friendly piggie and does not enjoy being picked up. "She will only come up to front of her habitat to get her tiny tomato treats." Tater Tot is very lonely since her piggie friend passed away a few months ago, which may be why she hasn't been enjoying her human companions. We'll keep you posted!

The first steps in adoption are to complete the application on our website under that adoptions page.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tater Tot, a Phoenix Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
