Name’s Maxxi, short for Maximus….you know, like Maximus Lover or Maximus Sweetness, or Adorable to the Maximus…call me what you will but just remember I am lovable as can be. I just adore people, and children too and I am getting along great with all the other dogs here. I am totally crate trained, and housebroken too. I was real real sick when I rescued in AZ last year, but I am feeling much better now- I do have limp in my back leg but it doesn’t slow me down one bit- I can still play ball with the best of em! So if you are looking for a Maximus Companion who will love you to the Maximus don’t wait another minute, hurry in and meet sweet Maxxi. 7 years old-50lbs. My adoption fee is $100 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxxi, a Portland Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Portland, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
