Carmella's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

Carmella's Story...
Carmella was tied to the fence of our shelter in the middle of the night with another dog Tony. They were both missing almost all their fur from neglect. They were both so frightened when they came in, they hid in their kennels and wouldn't walk on a leash. We had to carry them to the car to take them to the vet ;(

But this is all in the past! Carmella is now a friendly, healthy, and social dog that is more than ready to go to her furever home! She is a shelter favorite because of her calm personality. Carmella loves to be near people, especially when she gets petted. All of her fur has grown back in and she has been spayed.

Please email us at Adopt@bobbicares.org for more info or come down and visit her at our Freeport location at 2 Rider Place, Freeport NY.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carmella, a Freeport American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Freeport, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Freeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Freeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Freeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Freeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
