Jackson - I love to swim!'s Story...
Need someone to share in all your adventures? Meet Jackson! He's ready for any outdoor activity from road trips to walks, biking, and even swimming! (Jackson LOVES to swim at the beach and goes for weekly sessions with Tanya at Waterworkz Spa, www.waterworkzpawspa.com.)

Jackson's smaller size (25lb) makes him the perfect sidekick for anywhere you want to take him, plus he's GREAT on leash and in the car. Jackson is a dude's best buddy. (He prefers to hang out with the guys!)

Jackson's history is a bit of a mystery. He was found wandering a park all alone, but wiggled up to the person who found him. He even jumped right into their car! Because of Jackson's history and that he is blind in his left eye, he can be shy with new people, but he warms up quick with the help of food. And once he does, Jackson is quite the lover. He can't resist a good belly rub, and he'll reward you with kisses. If that isn't enough to win you over, Jackson is also fully housetrained, up to date on his shots, and neutered.

Jackson's foster mom believes he is about 5 years old and possibly a mix between Lhasa Apso and Tibetan Terrier. We are looking for an experienced adopter. Jackson needs a strong pack leader, consistency, and boundaries.

To help Jackson adjust to his new forever home, the trainers at Custom Canine, are offering a free private session! (www.customcanine.com)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jackson - I love to swim!, a Vancouver Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
