Patch's Story...
Hi there! I'm Patch! I'm a happy go lucky, moderately active, nimble 12 year old brittany blend. I love people, and I love to hang around people! I love to say "Hi" and dance with glee to meet you. I love moderate walks, treats (see my photo - I'm waiting for my treat!) and an occasional bone or ball. Mealtimes are my favorite time of the day. I sleep in my crate at night, and I let you know when I need something (a treat or to go outside to do my business). My favorite veterinarian, Dr. Mary, likes me a lot, and she said that my health is ok for my age. I have a moderate heart murmur, but she said that I don't need to take any medications. I feel just fine!

Patch is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, neutered and on heartworm preventative. Patch was lucky to land in rescue when his previous owners turned him into a shelter when they moved. Patch lived outside, but now that he is in foster care, he enjoys all the creature comforts of living in a home with a family.

Patch is eligible for New England Brittany Rescue's senior to senior adoption program. If you are interested in adopting this fabulous fellow who still has plenty of love to give, please fill out an adoption application at the New England Brittany Rescue website, www.nebrittanyrescue.org. We look forward to hearing from you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patch, a Buffalo Brittany/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brittany/Dachshund for sale in Buffalo, or seeking a Brittany/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brittany/Dachshund breeders who help with Brittany/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
