Pip~Adopted!'s Story...
Pip ~ He is about 4 yrs old. He was pulled from the shelter when his time had run out. Poor Pip is very timid and shy when he first meets you. He wants to trust you but it takes him awhile to warm up to you. He will wag his tail and bow to you like he wants to come but is just really afraid. We can definitely tell he has been abused.

UPDATE ~ Pip spent two weeks with our dog trainer and his confidence grew leaps and bounds. He is doing much better!! He now comes to you when you call his name, he walks better on a leash and is doing better with realizing that he can trust people a lot quicker.

We are thinking he would do better in a home without small children. That way he will not get nervous and anxious. He seems to do better in quieter homes. He does seem to do better with people that are the pack leader! He loves guidance and direction from you...so he will constantly look at you for you to tell him what to do. He will be your little shadow. We feel with a little patience on your end he and continued training he will make a wonderful little pet!!

Age: 4 yrs

Adoption fee: $100

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pip~Adopted!, a Troy Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in Troy, or seeking a Papillon dog from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
