Here's what the humans have to say about me:
COURTESY POSTING
Sophie is my name!! I am a 1 1/2 year old corgi mix. I have a long story to tell, and will try to make it short, so you will know more about me.
I was out on my own, when I was hit by a car. I almost didn't make it. Luckily someone got me to a vet office, and the vet was kind enough to save my life. I had a head injury and was hurt pretty bad, but I made it thru. The vet needed a place for me to go and recouparate, so off I went to a foster home. The folks there took care of me, and they tried to find a place for me to go once I got better. I ended up at the local shelter. And it was a "high" kill shelter. Luckily there was some nice ladies who knew about my fate, and they got me out of that shelter!!! They even found a nice home for me. But I was nipping at people when they came over. I am a herding dog, and we do tend to nip at folks heels, like we would with sheep. But it really is not an acceptable thing. So, the family that adopted me, decided that they did not have the time or even the knowledge on how to work with a girl like me. So, they asked the ladies to take me back. So here I am!
I am going to need a family that does not have young children, and that has dogs that I can get along with. It would probably be best if I was the only dog, in the family. But sometimes I do get along with other dogs. No cats either, as I will chase them.
So, right now, I am hoping that there is someone out there, that understands herding dogs, and has the time to work with me. I am still a young girl, and I may have even had some problems from the car accident, but I do deserve to find a wonderful new femily, don't I???? I want to be a good girl, but I need someone that has patience and can work with me, so I will be one good Corgi Citizen! Please, if you think you might be the right person for me, contact Trish below and she can set up a time to come and meet me. I do love people and I do love going on walks and just being with you. I need someone to love me!!! Please don't wait too long to contact her.
