My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CRICKET is a beautiful black lab/hound mix who is about 11 months old. She currently weighs about 30 pounds, but could stand to put on a few pounds. She loves to cuddle and be loved and will lay with her head on your lap as long as you let her. She also loves to give kisses! CRICKET also loves other dogs and will play with everyone she meets. Her ideal family would be active, possibly where there is a runner in the family that she could join, as she does have a higher energy level.

Cricket knows "sit", but needs a little work on some other training. She learns very quickly, so this should not be a problem for her with the right direction. She does jump to greet people, so she may knock down small children as she is excited to say hello to them. New situations can be a little scary for her, but with some reassurance and guidance, she warms up pretty quickly. She was interested in the cats that were in her foster home, but she never chased them. She moved away from their hiding place when asked to. This little girl is very food-motivated and loves to please!!

To apply to adopt Cricket, please visit our web site here to find out about our adoption process.

Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.

Thank you for considering rescue!
