Collin's Story...
My name is Collin, yea yea I know, I am a Pit Bull but the Forever Friends here at Central KY Regional Humane Society will help me find the just right person to take me to my Forever Home.
I am just coming out of my puppy stage but I still need to cut a few more teeth so I am chewing all the dental bones I can get.
I want to have a good life without the fear of being mistreated or abused.
I will get to do a home visit for the Forever Friend that adopts me so that I know the fit is just right.
Come see me soon, I need a good long walk in the chill of the Fall air.
Waiting on ya,
Collin

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Collin, a Lancaster American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Lancaster, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Lancaster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lancaster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lancaster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lancaster paves the way for another one to be saved.
