Vinnie's Story...
Eh oh! I’m Vinnie, and it’s a freakin’ pleasure to meat ya! I came all da way from South Jersey thinkin’ I could find myself a good ‘ol place to live in the NW (ok, so I really came from Hood River, but Jersey just sounds way cooler don’t it?) I heard it’s dog friendly as all get up out here in the PDX …though I’ve yet to see the fruition of my dreams…maybe you can help, eh? I’m a Greyhound/Great Dane mix…pretty freakin’ cool, huh? I’m super sweet, and affectionate and very people focused…and even doe I gots this tough Jersey accent I’m really a softy at heart who gets a lil scared from time to time…anywho, I gots a poker game to get back to, so let’s wrap this up. Other dogs, respectful kids 5+ are a-ok, I just need a forever home and a lotta love ! 3 years old-85lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; neuter, microchip, 1 month pet health insurance, free vet exam, reduced cost training class, leash/collar, toy and treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vinnie, a Portland Greyhound/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound/Great Dane for sale in Portland, or seeking a Greyhound/Great Dane dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound/Great Dane breeders who help with Greyhound/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
