JR and his housemates were left behind in a shelter when their owners moved away without them. In the shelter JR was very nervous and didn’t show well so he was quickly slated to be euthanized to make space for more adoptable pets.

Junior is just an absolutely wonderful little gentleman. He is clean and quiet in the home. He gets along well with other dogs and cats and he is really good with respectful children of any age. Due to his we’d prefer a home without small, young, rambunctious kids that may accidently hurt him. He is currently fostered with two large breed dogs as well as three respectful children and mingles well, he rarely barks unless the “big dogs” have something to say otherwise you wouldn’t know he was around. He is very sweet and really enjoys a cuddle with just about anyone. Despite his mature age he will still play with other dogs his size, he’d be a great second dog for a calmer dog of any size. He is crate trained and house trained but does not need to be crated. He can be left alone for typical 9-5 work hours and would also be great for someone who has a dog friendly work environment. He is not shy or nippy and handles random attention from perfect strangers like a charm.

From Junior’s foster mom:
He's doing fine, loves to cuddle, sleeps in a bed with the kids, and stays in his crate when we are all gone. He likes his car rides and walks. No pictures he just doesn't want to look at the camera lol. He's had a few accidents, we are still learning his signals to go outside, he seems to just go near the door he likes to run for a bit in the yard then back to the door to come inside.. He met some 3 year olds yesterday, they were very well behaved but he doesn't seem to like small children, so definitely a home with kids over 8. He follows the (standard) poodles around sometimes and when they bark at the window so does he even though he has no idea what he's barking at. He's definitely a dog that loves his people! Whoever adopts him will be happy. Tried some toys he's not interested and not really food motivated either. He's doing well on self feeding.

Junior is happy to walk along with you or be carried along. He needs a daily walk but isn’t overly active. Come winter he will need a sweater or coat. Over all he is a relatively low maintenance dog. Junior would fit in to just about any household just looking for a friendly little lap dog. He’d be happy in a house or apartment.
