Mork's Story...
Mork is a fun little pup, about 4 months old and currently weighing about 18 pounds. We think he may be a hound or cattle dog mix...maybe some terrier or boxer. But hey, mixing up the DNA is a good thing in terms of a dog's health. Mork is an active little guy, but also has a good "shut-off button" when he gets in your lap and settles in for some quiet time. Because we can't guarantee his breed or what size he will grow to be, his adopter must be willing to take "pot-luck" and love him regardless. He must go to a home with a stay-at-home person (or not gone for long hours) so that he can be potty-trained, exercised and socialized.

You can meet Mork at his foster home, Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week (847-251-6750 or www.wilmettepetcenter.com).

Mork's adoption fee of $300 includes: vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, rabies vaccination, flea control, deworming, microchip and neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mork, a Mt. Prospect Australian Cattle Dog/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
