My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We got an email about a doxie needing rescue from the Modesto shelter. We tried ignoring it since our foster home is so full. We were hoping that some other rescue would step up and take him. However, hours before he was to be put to sleep we found that he still had no rescue. We sighed and reluctantly agreed to take him.

The universe rewarded us for this as four year old, 15 lb Marco is one great dog! He appears to be friendly with absolutely everyone. He was even wagging his tail and saying hello to strangers at the vet clinic when he was being picked up from his neuter surgery. He has a very sweet, gentle personality. We don't know how he is with cats but we think this softy could learn to live with them.

Not only is Marco nice, he is also a very quiet boy. He is not a barker. We
believe he had been a yard dog (he was absolutely filthy and his nails were so long he could hardly walk) and he is thrilled to now be a house dog. He happily crates in the bedroom at night.

Marco has been neutered, vaccinated, and micro chipped.
