My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rose is a 9 year old beauty with lots of love to give. She was one of 10 good quality, but very neglected, Pekingese we rescued when the breeder died and his widow wasn't able to take care of them. Each Peke's profile will be updated as we learn more about them from their foster moms. Rosie and Lily are 2 little purebred pekes. They are calm and sweet and chubby. The breeder they came from died, and his wife couldn't handle taking care of all the Pekes, so she just put all the food in the cages and let them eat as much as they wanted. Rosie and Lily are 9 years old, (young for a small dog ) and have discovered how wonderful it is to have their heads rubbed and ears scratched, and sleep on a nice soft bed. Rosie is the more outgoing, and will spin around in circles and bark when she gets excited. Lily is too dignified for barking and acting silly. She hasn't made a peep since I got her. Both girls are working on housetraining but sometimes can't make it to the door in time, and go potty right in front of the door. We are walking to get the extra weight off, and cutting back on food. The girls do not have to be adopted together, but are so easy going and just lay around and wait to get attention, that the 2 of them are just as easy as 1 to have around. Lily has dry eye and needs eye drops, but I just use the OTC eye lubricant and wipe her eyes with a warm wet washcloth when they get goopy. She also has trouble doing steps. I hope as she loses weight will be able to do them. I am attaching pics of the 2. Rosie had to be shaved down, because the girls were so matted when I got them. The groomer was able to save Lily's hair and she is a puff ball. Both girls are sweet and are more like cats, laying around snoozing and waiting for ear scratches Now they need a good loving home. Currently, Rose is being fostered in Reading, PA and her asking adoption fee is $125.
