Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Emily likes to be where the action is. She runs to greets you at the door and will happily rub up against the furniture when you arrive. She's friendly to visitors and when her new foster sister arrived, Emily was on the scene to say hello. She loves to explore and when she jumps to the highest bookshelf, she trills happily. She likes to chase bottle rings and is endlessly fascinated by the mysterious art of dish-washing. She likes to be near you and watches whatever you're doing with great curiosity. She is quietly affectionate but it takes time before she allows you to pet her. Once she trusts you, she'll settle onto the bed and let you stroke her head while she naps. She has the softest, lush fur and when she sleeps, her paws curl adorably. She was front declawed by a previous owner.
Emily's guardian died when she was 10 years old. She has adjusted beautifully to her new life. However, we should note that when she's anxious or over-stimulated, Emily still sometimes swats or nips, so she would do best with an experienced and patient cat lover. With continued love and care, she will continue to blossom. You'll know you've won her heart when you hear her quietly meow from the other room, as if to say, why did you leave me? Emily was born around 10/12/01. She is fostered on the Upper East Side in Manhattan.
