Rufus's Story...
Hi there, my name is Rufus and I’m seven years young. I weigh a healthy 30 pounds, I’m house trained, and I’m a very well behaved boy! Getting along with other dogs and cats is easy for me because I’m laid-back and friendly.

I won’t chew on any of your things so your shoes are safe with me! I have had all my shots for the year and have no known health issues. I am looking for a home and ask very little in return. All I need is love and a soft pillow or blanket on which to rest. I am located in Tampa and my adoption fee is only $200! What a bargain!

Please consider letting me into your life-you won’t regret it! Complete an adoption application here. If you love me but can’t adopt me, please send a donation to help pay medical bills for not just me but my fellow foster brothers and sisters. They sure could use it!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rufus, a Windermere Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Windermere, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Windermere.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Windermere already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Windermere breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Windermere paves the way for another one to be saved.
