My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chester is an American Cocker Spaniel. He is a confident, friendly, well socialized family pet. He came from a loving home where he was given excellent care and it shows in the ease in which he integrates into any new situation. He loves everyone including other dogs, cats and children of all ages. He is a lovely chocolate brown with white, is just 3 years old and is a wonderful, happy boy.

Chester’s previous family are moving back to the UK which sadly meant Chester was in need of a new home. Chester is everything a Cocker Spaniel was meant to be and when you meet him you will see why his breed was the number one family pet for so many years.

Chester is a small, sturdy dog. He is a sweet, good natured, happy boy who gets along well with everyone. He is of average intelligence, loyal and willing to please. He is an amusing little dog that loves to play with you but is just as happy amusing himself with a toy. He enjoys a good game of fetch but really just loves any kind of ball play. Amusing and trustworthy, Chester greets everyone with a smile and a wagging tail.

Chester was obviously well socialized as a pup as he gets along well with everyone and everything. He has a very happy go lucky attitude, goes with the flow and has no issues with anyone. He can easily be taken anywhere, is fully trustworthy around respectful children and is playful and devoted to his family. He is fully house and crate trained but does not need to be crated and can be left for a working day on his own with no problems as long as you left him with enough toys to amuse himself.

Chester is a quiet dog who would do fine in an apartment but would really prefer at least a small back yard to play in. He will require at least one good walk each day and opportunities for playdates with other dogs. Chester will also require regular grooming and is currently sporting a shaved-down coat for easy care. He has an unusual chocolate brown coat that is soft and cuddly and although he is in good health, he could still lose a couple pounds to be at his ideal weight.

Chester travels easily in the car and because he is so good going into new situations, you are able to take him anywhere. He would really enjoy being a part of the family and having respectful children to play with or another friendly dog in the home for company would be great. He would enjoy outdoor activities with his family or just taking a walk around town to say hi to the neighbours. He will easily become a favourite in any neighbourhood due to his friendly, happy and loving personality.

Due to his colouring it is hard to get good pictures of him but once you meet Chester you will see what a truly wonderful little dog he is. You couldn’t ask for a better family pet or single’s companion. Chester is truly a well socialized, friendly dog who will make an amazing addition to any household.
