Meet Barney, a sweet loving Two and half year old Shepherd Mix. Barney is very handsome with nice markings and color, a beautiful and unique mixed breed. He is docile, calm yet playful. He enjoys the company of people, he is good with dogs but he is not too sure what about cats. Shepherds are very intelligent, loyal and good protectors of their families and children. He will make a great companion and will be wonderful to take to the dog park, around the neighborhood and just about anywhere the family would love to take him as their friendly family pet. Barney is currently in a foster home waiting for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BARNEY, a Irvine German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Irvine, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Irvine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Irvine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Irvine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Irvine paves the way for another one to be saved.
