My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Tammy is only a couple of years old but she has already had more than her share of hardship. After being a "free dog" on Kijiji, she first found herself chained outside then found herself pregnant. Unfortunately, even this did not merit her or her 10 puppies born on September 11, 2011 a place in the home. Her thoughtless owner then decided that the two brown puppies were cuter so surrendered Tammy, who weighs about 50 pounds, and her 8 black puppies to Kiko. We were more than happy to get them out of the cramped, filthy and damp doghouse into a safe warm haven no more cold nights for Tammy and her babies. Tammy has the sweetest temperament and willingly allowed strangers to handle her and her puppies. Kiko has promised Tammy that her next home will be forever and that she will be a treasured family member with her own bed inside a cozy and loving home. If you're looking for a guard dog, forget it. She is naturally a little timid around strangers at first but soon warms up and is also good around children and other dogs. There is not a mean bone Tammy's body, just a yearning to be loved and cared for as she so deserves. (As a side note, Kiko agreed to help Tammy's former owner on the condition that the two puppies she's keeping get sterilized [the appointment is already made], that they live indoors and that they get surrendered to Kiko once she tires of them.)

All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for heartworm, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 ($250 for senior dogs and $125 for cats) and an adoption contract.
