Mazee's Story...
Mazee is a young (2-3 years old) black/tan smooth female dachshund. She has an adorable personality and loves to cuddle and be held. Mazee gets along with other dogs, but does like to bark when she sees or hears new things. She is house broken and loves to sleep in bed, under the covers. Mazee had a very bad skin problem when she first came into rescue, and after medication and a very special diet, she has grown a beautiful coat. Mazee will have to remain on a special diet all her life, but will be healthy and happy. If you would like more information, or would like to fill out an application, please contact us at Mazee's adoption fee is $250.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mazee, a Ft. Myers Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Ft. Myers, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Ft. Myers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Myers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Myers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Myers paves the way for another one to be saved.
