Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buzz and siblings are a Stop the Cycle litter; Forget Me Not will spay the mother dog, and find these cuties new homes. They were born 9/11/11; mom is a pit bull, and the litter appears to have had a few different dads; some of the possible influences we see are Labrador Retriever, Border Collie, and Shepherd. We are calling them the Toy Story litter
Buzz is a very cuddly and handsome boy, looking most like black lab mix, with a white patch on his chest.
All of these pups are affectionate, happy pups; they play hard, then nap hard (ha). They are incredibly cute, but please do your breed research before applying to adopt one of them; because they are half pit bull, there are many areas where they will be banned, no matter how cute, cuddly, and well-behaved they are. Make sure your town, county, housing association, and homeowners insurance will allow a pit bull mix puppy.
Just like the original purpose of pit bulls, these pups should make fabulous family dogs. They are fostering in a home with big dogs, a cat, and even some chickens, and we think they will do well adapting to pretty much any other pets in the home.
Puppies require a lot of human interaction, and all puppies will benefit from obedience training and full immersion in their human household. These pups' ideal homes will have someone who can exercise them with a couple of energetic walks each day, plus commitment to training them how to be the best dogs they can be. They hope to have very few hours per day when they will be without the companionship of a human or other pet. They will reward their forever owners with boundless love and loyalty! We start all puppies on their vaccinations as soon as they arrive at the shelter (this litter will have had 1 or 2 vaccinations before they are ready to go home); most will require additional boosters in the first couple of months after arriving in their new homes, and rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age.
Spay/neuter, worming, and all age-appropriate shots are always completed before placement, and are included in the adoption donation (suggested minimum $95; more gratefully accepted!) Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners.
