Sophia's Story...
Sophia is such a love bug! She adores people and always looks like she's smiling. Sophia is an average-sized, two year old labby girl and has average amounts of labby energy. She loves playing with her foster family’s lab in the backyard and is awesome at playing fetch with a tennis ball. Her foster mom is pretty sure she would play fetch all day if her arm could handle it! She does settle down nicely in the house after getting some exercise. Sophia is housebroken and has not done any chewing in the house so far. She is left loose in the house at night and even though she is crate trained has not had problems with being left out of the crate when her foster family is gone. She does great with the kids; there are four with the youngest being 2 years old. Sophia is a really great dog with such a fun and loving personality. She would make a great addition to any family.
Sophia is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and micro-chipped. She is also on flea and tick preventative and heartworm preventative. If you would be interested in hearing more about Sophia, please indicate her in the notes section of the online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophia, a Lewisville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lewisville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lewisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lewisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lewisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lewisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
