My story

Hi, I'm Travis
I'm 2 years old and ~80 lbs.
I came to Happy Dogs from the KCK shelter. I was picked up as a stray and never claimed. I tested heartworm positive and needed a rescue to take me so that I could be treated. I completed my treatment in August and I'm really excited to meet a new family who will love me!
I'm already cratetrained and housetrained and I know some commands like sit and shake. Like most Labs I'm smart and food motivated and I really enjoy learning. Whatever you want to teach me, I'm a ready and eager student!
I love playing with other dogs and I might be okay with cats, but I haven't really been around any to tell for sure. I also love to swim. If you have a pool, pond or lake nearby I could (safely) swim in that would be great! I'm still young and have a fairly high energy level; long walks or jogs and plenty of playtime would be necessary. I am good on a leash though and I love kids.
An active, fun-loving family with kids or other dogs would be ideal for me but I'd be happy with anyone who can keep up with my excerise needs.

Travis is neutered, fully vaccianted (including bordetella and canine influenza), microchipped, dewormed and fecal checked negative. He has been treated for heartworms, is now negative and kept on monthly heartworm prevention. He is also given seasonal flea/tick prevention.
His adoption fee is 100.
