Tabby's Story...
Hello, I am Tabby. I may seem a bit reserved, but can you blame me? I was abandoned by my owners and when I tried to make friend with some new people, they threw things at me to shoo me away. If you give me a chance though, I will warm up and show you my true personality. I am very friendly and like to be petted. I also really enjoy being active. I like feathery toys and toys that roll. And, don’t be shocked if I start talking to myself while admiring myself in the mirror. Come spend some time with me so that I don’t have to talk to myself!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tabby, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
