DIXIE's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

DIXIE's Story...
DIXIE, the doxie is an adorable little love.
She is extremely affectionate and loves her people. She gets along great with other dogs and cats.
DIXIE adores going for walks and she enjoys being in the lead.
DIXIE was found wandering around a parking lot in Miami without any collar or tags and she was never claimed.
We believe Dixie is about 1-2 years old. This girl would make a wonderful family dog.

There is a $175 adoption donation for DIXIE.
This helps to reimburse us for our veterinary expenses - vaccines, worming, mandatory spay/neuter, micro-chip, etc.

DIXIE is being fostered in Weeki Wachee, FL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DIXIE, a Brooksville Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Brooksville, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Brooksville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooksville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooksville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooksville paves the way for another one to be saved.
