My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey everyone! My name is Dozer. I don’t know a whole lot about my past other than I know that I was wandering around the streets when an angel rescued me and took me in. I had no tags, no collar or mircochip. My angel tried to find my owners, but couldn’t. That’s when he contacted AZBHR and my foster mom & dad picked me up. I am a very big boy; mom says I weigh around 75 lbs. I need to loose a few pounds to get my six-pack back. I will need someone who is more dedicated to an exercise schedule than me. I just don’t have the motivation to go to on a walk, but once I get going I do fine, but that initial step, I just don’t have it in me. I do pretty well on a leash, but need some fine tuning to remember who’s in charge. I am not sure how old I am, but I am going to the vet soon for a check-up, shots and a micro-chip. The doctor can give me an idea then.
I am house trained, but mom doesn’t know if I am doggie door trained. Even though she has one, I can’t fit through it. Please keep an eye on this page, as soon as I get back from the vet, I will know how old I am and I will be ready to go home with my new family, could that be YOU?

As soon as I get a clean bill of health I look forward to being adopted. I really look forward to this micro-chip thing too; I don’t ever want to be lost again! That was too scary. I love being with people, maybe a little too much though. I cry when mom or dad go outside, but I also cry with excitement when they come back. I have a couple foster brothers that I am trying to get to know. I am still a little timid around them; maybe I was an only dog in my previous life. I am starting to chase them around a little. I don’t have food or toy aggressions, but, as my weight shows, I do prefer people food over dog food. Unfortunately mom and dad are working with me on that, my big sad eyes aren’t working.
