Anabelle's Story...
Annabelle was a stray living in a field behind one of Paw Placement volunteer's office buildings and was trying to survive by eating out of the garbage and sleeping in bushes. With persistence and determination our volunteer went out everyday to feed and try to gain Annabelle's trust. Annabelle wanted so much to be loved but was afraid to trust someone in fear of being hurt and dumped again. We are happy to say after two months Annabelle has learned to trust our volunteer and is being fostered by her while waiting for her forever home. Annabelle is still timid (especially with men), but she is learning everyday that she is safe now and can trust people again. Annabelle would do best in a home where someone is home all day and can give her the attention and security she needs. Although she gets along with other dogs, she is the dominant one and may not do well in a home where there is another dominant dog. Annabelle has lots of energy and needs a yard where she can run and play. Annabelle is house trained by using a doggie door; she needs the flexibility to go inside and outside because she is used to laying in the grass and loves to spend her time in the yard. But, she loves to cuddle up with you in the house too. **Annabelle is a lifetime commitment and could easily live 15 or 16 years. She is not disposable for any reason including moving, marriage, divorce, behavioral issues that always can be fixed, babies, or any other perceived inconvenience. She is not an object that can be discarded. If you cannot to commit to Annabelle or any other animal for their lifetime, we’d rather you didn’t apply. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anabelle, a Scottsdale Rottweiler/Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/Doberman Pinscher for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Rottweiler/Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Rottweiler/Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
