Hi nice human!
My name is Kimmi and I was rescued from the Ft. McDowell Reservation in the nick of time before the cold weather and bad storms. I am a smooth coated, shiny black lab mix girl, about three years old and very, very quiet and sweet. I am a little bit skinny at 55 pounds but am now eating a lot and expect to gain some weight by the holidays! I am living in a foster home with Moe and Pearl, two other big dogs, and we all get along very well.
It has been a wild few days with many new experiences. Last week I went from living outside on my own to sleeping in a six foot outdoor kennel. In a few short days, I had my first bath, live in a people house and sleep on a huge soft bed of my own AND I have been to the vet! I learned the dog door quickly and have had no accidents at all in the house! My manners are perfect and I am exceptionally quiet. I've been spayed, gotten all my shots and tested negative for heart worm, tick fever and lyme disease. I love to be talked to and petted. In turn, I will wag, look at you with total adoration and kiss you! Today I made my first play move! I need practice walking on a leash so is another new thing to learn.
I am a very curious girl and like to sniff everything plus I love to eat bread! Kibble and meat are really good too! I will eat most anything so I am easy to please! At first I was very afraid of everyone and everything but my confidence is growing fast! Now I want to be with my foster mom and be loved. Who knew life could be so good!! I am ready for my own forever family. Could that be you????? Or someone you know?????
