My story

Katie is a sweet, mellow purebred Yellow Lab, full of love, who was abandoned down in Arkansas at a high-kill shelter. When her time was up at that high-kill shelter she was brought to the vet's to be put down, but she was so incredibly loving that the vets just didn't have the heart to make this her last day on earth. Instead, they spayed her and became determined to give her a second chance. Now she is remaining calm at another low-kill shelter with the faith that someone will fall in love with her before her time is up (again). Katie loves to be petted and will follow you anywhere!! She's about 2 years old and we can't imagine how anyone would let this girl go. Katie is true to her Lab heritage with her family-friendliness and eagerness to please in every way, always happy to take your lead. She will make a loyal and loving companion for some individual or family. Katie weighs about 50 pounds, is very healthy and we think she may be housetrained, but please be patient if she needs to learn your house rules.
