Levi is just an all around wonderful dog. He is still, just under a year old and will need some further training but a friendly, more sociable, family companion would be hard to find. A real sweetheart he loves everyone including children of all ages and is good with cats and dogs alike. He currently weighs 51 lbs but does have some filling out still to do.

Levi is perpetually happy. He is a true people pleaser that is eager to learn and friendly with everyone. He has excellent behaviour, is smart, and is a perfect balance of submissive and confident. Levi is social and friendly with everyone including even tiny children and obnoxious children. He does not "mouth" or "jump up" ever. He is good with dogs of all dispositions, is great with cats and even fine with little critters.
Levi has been crated when he first came into our home and although he didn't like it, he tolerated it but it didn't take long for us to see that there was no need to crate him. He is so good around the house and at night that we never need to crate him and he wouldn't need to be crated in his new home. He has no destructive behaviours, does not get into garbage, doesn't chew anything he shouldn't, and he is clean and quiet in the home. Levi is just totally trustworthy. When you are gone from the home he is just amazing and he just naps and waits patiently for your return.
He is fairly calm in the house but loves to run and play when he gets outdoors. He has been learning to run beside my bike and is doing well with encouragement. He will bark when someone knocks on the door but just one bark to let you know. He only barks if there is really a good reason too and is never excessive.
Levi has a thick, shiny coat and he appears to be a very low shedder. He eats and eliminates well. He is totally house trained.
He is very smart and although he didn't know any commands when he arrives he is quickly picking up on sit, down, and other basic commands. He tries very hard to do exactly what you ask of him and it is only giving him time to figure out the actions desired by the words spoken. His recall is amazing and he always comes when called. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash but will still need more work to stop him from trying to pull when he sees a squirrel or another dog. This just means more walks!!
Levi just seems to understand what he should do and is amazing in the home. There is no counter surfing, no garbage rooting, no barking, no begging for food (when we are eating he just seems to know that he shouldn't be around and goes and finds somewhere to lie down away from us). He never goes on the furniture...no bad behaviours at all - amazing dog!
He wants to go outside when you go to the door to leave or greet people but 100% knows to stay back and just watches without trying to get out. He can be trusted off leash without any issues and never attempts to leave the yard.
Levi really loves playing with other dogs and would be an excellent dog second dog in the home with another respectful dog. He would do well with any family that ensured he was exercised each day. You can't do wrong with this boy he is just wonderful. His sunny upbeat personality and gentle affectionate demeanor make us happy every day. Whoever adopts this boy will be very happy and will fall in love with him - just like everyone else does!
