Lucy came to us from a high kill shelter when her owner brought her to find a new home when she was unable to continue caring for her. Unbeknownst to her she had actually left this poor girl at the risk of her being euthanized due to lack of space at the shelter. What a sin that would have been as this little darling is such a good little girl that she could fit into just about any situation.
Here is what her foster mom had to say about Lucy:
Lucy is an adorable 13 lbs little girl. She is quiet in the home, guarded at times, and still doesn't like to let me out of her sight. She has adjusted well to being in a home but just needs someone that will continue to build her confidence. She lives to be wherever I am and will curl up into a little ball beside while I watch tv.
When we go for walks she wins everyone over because she is so friendly. She loves the attention and greets everyone warmly and with affection. She walks so well on leash. She is friendly to all. She does show puppy behaviour in that she wants to sample anything and everything on the sidewalks! She is learning "Leave it".
Lucy is alert, playful, curious and loving. She would make a wonderful companion and an ideal child's playmate and friend. She has no problem with other pets and has made good friends with my 12 year old Persian cat. She adores other dogs. Everyone who has met her just wants to take her home.
She is quite obedient, very happy, loves to play with her toys...best of all...she sleeps lots especially at night...so do I!!!!
