Carlton's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Carlton's Story...
YOU CAN'T GET ANY CUTER THAN CARLTON!!

Carlton was abandoned in an apartment building. His 'owners' packed up all their stuff and left this boy all alone, scared and confused.

Carlton is around 1-1.5 years old, is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

We would love for him to go to a home with his mom, Lola. If not, he MUST be placed with another playful dog.

He requires frequent grooming, In the photo his hair is long but we keep it short now as its easier to manage. Cartlon and Lola have skin allergies which require special food (Hills Z/D), medication and special shampoo for bathing.

If you are into your family you can fill out an application online at www.newlifek-9rescue.org.

Must live in Southern CA and be 21 or over to adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carlton, a Sherman Oaks Maltese/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Shih Tzu for sale in Sherman Oaks, or seeking a Maltese/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Sherman Oaks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman Oaks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman Oaks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Maltese/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman Oaks paves the way for another one to be saved.
