Archie is a wonderful little wire-haired Parsons Jack Russell Terrier mix that would make a great pet to anyone in any situation. He is friendly to all, not afraid of big men like many small dogs are, not afraid of other dogs either big or little. It is unknown how he is with cats. He is also not a barker.
This well socialized sweetheart was in a kennel with about eight other small dogs at a high kill shelter when we saw him and saved him. He is documented to be age four. His big warm eyes are one of his best features.
Archie knows how to walk on the leash and is fine riding in the car. He is a calm and quiet guy (but not shy) with an occasional sprightliness of play and animation. He is a great lap dog, companion dog, and friend. He is friendly, not overly needy or whiny or jumpy, and appears to have had the concept of going potty outdoors down prior to coming to the rescue.
If you like the descriptive of Archie, please do not say, “But we do not want age four,” before considering this gem of a dog. Small dogs can live to be fifteen plus, and if you are looking for an easy dog, please consider Archie.
Archie is neutered, de-wormed, fully vaccinated including rabies, and micro-chipped. He weighs about 11-12 lbs.
