Mickey's Story...
Hi, everyone! I'm Mickey, and I'm a fuzzy little boy who was found out in the big world wandering around by himself. I didn't even have a collar on, so there wasn't even a place to put ID. A nice woman found me and brought me to the shelter. It's estimated that I'm about 4 months old, and I'm a pretty good sized puppy, so I will be a good sized adult, too. I am very cuddly and loving and enjoy the typical puppy activities, like playing hard and taking long naps. Are you looking for an active, young dog who will eventually be a large adult? Then pick me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mickey, a Huntingdon Border Collie/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Golden Retriever for sale in Huntingdon, or seeking a Border Collie/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Huntingdon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntingdon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntingdon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntingdon paves the way for another one to be saved.
