Bonnie's Story...
BONNIE is a 5 year old sable female. She was given up by her owners because they could no longer take care of her. She is a very happy, loving girl. She is a tall sheltie, about 16-17 inches at the shoulder. She has an "under bite" and she looks like she's smiling at you all the time! She loves to curl up on the couch or in bed with you. She loves everyone EXCEPT other dogs. However, on her walks (which she loves) she could care less about the other dogs. It is just in the house that she is uncomfortable around others dogs. She will be very happy to be the only dog and the center of attention. She is doing great in her foster home and totally loves attention!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonnie, a La Habra Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in La Habra, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in La Habra.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Habra already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Habra breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Habra paves the way for another one to be saved.
