DAIZY's Story...
Daizy is an affectionate 2 year old female BC/ Lab mix. She is black and white with a beautiful smooth coat. Daizy is in rescue through no fault of her own as she is another victim of this lousy economy. She was an owner surrender to a high kill shelter in central California. Although obviously mixed, she was quickly advocated by our volunteer who saw her, since she was about to be euthanized due to overcrowding of animals at the shelter. Although a breed specific rescue, BCIN takes in BC mixes as space permits, so how could we resist Daizy? Daizy was obviously well loved and well taken care of by her previous owners. She has beautiful manners and is very obedient. She has all of the traits that I look for in a well rounded all around family dog. She would love nothing better than to crawl into your lap or on your couch to watch TV. Daizy is well socialized with adults, kids, and other dogs. She is a dominant female, however, she has gotten along with all of her female foster siblings except for one. Daizy was taken to her first adoption event last weekend and quickly became a favorite of our volunteers. She showed very well, as nothing phased her while entertaining us. If you are looking for a really nice family dog with a wonderful temperament, then Daizy is your gal.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DAIZY, a San Pedro Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
