My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jock is a wonderful 5-year old purebred traditionally marked Border Collie (male). He came to us all tattered, matted and feeling lousy (upper respiratory infection - which took weeks for him to recover from) and a broken molar.
Six weeks later Mr. Jock is has completely recovered from his URI, has had dental surgery to remove his broken tooth, and has been beautified by the wonderful groomers at Petsmart (and was a crowd favorite with them and our volunteers last Sat.). Such a nice easy boy to have in the house. Lovely house manners, stays off furniture (will go where you ask him to, but doesn’t really like to be totally alone (will bark a little sometimes to rejoin you). He spends his current days outside with Mac at his foster home where they both are very good boys, staying out of trouble and only barking when they hear their foster momma’s car drive in the driveway at the end of the work day. When he rides in the car, he heads for the floor board and stays put the entire drive, often dozing off for a few zzzzs. He is wonderful with all humans, including children. Great with other dogs. Probably fine with cats. Sometimes he’ll “whine talk” a little, which is pretty cute. He likes to lay on the cool floor, but thinks blankets are kinda nice too. Walks perfectly on leash. LOVES treats (watch out for your fingers!). Great for the first time Border Collie owner, a home with children, or older folks. Jock is currently being fostered in Torrance, California and is ready for immediate adoption.
