Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are getting the best “bonus” dogs lately! Martha came from the wonderful San Jose ACC. We were dealing with them on rescuing two other doxies that were not adoptable through the shelter due to their need for medical care. While there, they told us they had a third dachshund that was healthy and passed her temperament test but they were so full, they needed the space, so they wanted us to take her. We had a new foster home so we agreed. Wow- what a score we got.
Martha is an adorable dachshund with a gorgeous glossy coat and bright eyes. She is short and wide and has a darling face that melts everyone’s heart. She is very sweet, extremely friendly little girl. She loves meeting new people and this seems to include children of all ages.
Martha also likes dogs both big and small. She is gentle with the senior dog she is living with and lets him set the pace for play. She shares her toys and dog bed and doesn’t even try and sneak anybody else’s food. We don’t know what she thinks about cats but it seems likely she could learn to live with them.
Martha has some unusual dachshund traits – she is eager to please and is responsive to commands. So far she shows no signs of having the selective hearing nor the attitude that doxies are famous for.
Someone will be extremely lucky to have this loving and devoted little girl.
Martha is spayed, current on his vaccinations and micro chipped.
If you are interested in Martha, please fill out an online adoption application at www.scdr.org and email Lindy at linla@comcast.net. The tax deductible donation for Martha is $250.
